High Street Station. This was on the LNWR/LMS line to Abergavenny. The picture is looking towards Penywern with Caeracca in the far distance. In the opposite direction to Abergavenny the line crossed Dowlais High Street where the rugby club now stands,and then went up to Dowlais top behind the Tredegar Arms,passing under the slip road where the MacDonalds was situated and behind the BP garage to Rhymney Bridge and all points east. |
