Cyfarthfa
Castle Museum & Art Gallery Presents…
Life in
Merthyr – A
photographic exhibition that shows life in Merthyr Tydfil from
the late 19th Century to the modern day.
Runs from
2nd July – 24th July 2011.
Cyfarthfa
Castle Museum is putting together a photographic exhibition that
aims to show day to day life in Merthyr Tydfil from the early
days of photography right up to the modern day. The aim of this
exhibition is to give anyone who has photographs of Merthyr a
chance to display them and help show Merthyr Tydfil in a factual
light.
If you have
photos of Merthyr and wish to display them as part of this
exhibition please get in touch with the museum by using the
contact details provided. It doesn’t matter if they are historic
photos of the town or modern day ones, family shots or shots of
the landscapes, all that matters is that they depict some aspect
of life in the town.
Digital
copies of photos can be e-mailed to the museum via the e-mail
address provided. Please do not send any original hard copies of
photographs without speaking to a museum member of staff. Any
duplicate photographs can be posted but please make sure to
provide full contact details, including telephone number. It
would also be ideal if wherever possible a short description of
the photograph can be provided. Once again please do not send
any original copies without speaking to a member of the Museum
staff.
