Born in Cardiff but lived in Merthyr Tydfil for over 40 years. Once known as the Welsh Johnny Cash, he toured the country singing Rock 'n' Roll and Country since the early 1950's.
He was inducted into the British Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006. |
